Care Pathway
I am a person-centred practitioner committed to empowering you, the client, to take an active role in your healing journey. My priority is to provide a safe and non-judgemental space where you feel seen and heard, valued and supported. Whether the challenges you face are significant or seemingly small, I am here to help you understand and process them in a way that feels manageable.
Through talk therapy, we will work together to explore your difficult emotions and experiences, and tend to the fears and insights that arise. As we deepen our understanding of the layers of pain or stuckness that may inhibit your aliveness – such as trauma, shame, or abandonment – we will proceed at a pace and intensity that feels comfortable for you.
A key aspect of our work together is understanding the reasons behind patterns of behaviour that may soothe anxiety or pain but at the expense of your well-being or relationships or capacity to function as you wish. By delving into your childhood attachments we can uncover how past experiences continue to influence your present-day life. An awareness of these underlying causes is crucial for fostering mental health and personal growth.
Every individual’s path to healing is unique and requires personalised care and support. That’s why I offer both short-term and long-term therapy options. During short-term therapy (perhaps six or eight sessions) we can focus on addressing your immediate stresses and anxieties. During long-term therapy, we can explore family histories and childhood relationships in order to gain a deeper understanding of your emotional landscape and work towards self-discovery and lasting change.
